MouseAway

The more tips I dish out here on LifeSpy, the more I get to learn that people love to do away with little computing quirks that annoy them. Take that Firefox Download window for example. I never knew how people would love shifting it to the status bar since the default pop-up behavior annoys them.

So here’s one little and very minor annoyance that some of you might be happy to do away with. Ever used the mouse to shift the keyboard cursor some place else with a document (or a text field) and when you type, the mouse pointer’s still there, covering your view? I don’t know if that annoys you but it just might.

Here’s a small freeware app that helps you deal with that - MouseAway. It changes your mouse pointer’s behavior by shifting your pointer away once you finish shifting your keyboard cursor. It’s very small and resource efficient. Best of all it does the job. It’s supposed to work from Windows 95-XP.
