With Vista rolled out for home use across the globe, Microsoft also rolls out it series of applications to support it. One of the latest ones hot off the grill is Windows Live Messenger 8.01. Here are what it has in store:

• Improved compatibility with Vista
• Vista interface with new emoticons and contacts display
• SMS capability
• “Roaming identity” allowing users to get that personalized look no matter where they are
• Conflict with Flash player fix

Word has it that Yahoo! Messenger will have a new version out for Vista users. So we better watch out for that too.
