For all of you that have been wanting a Widget Ready version of the Illacrimo theme, it is finally here. It took some doing, and there are some limitations, but hopefully this will make most of you happy.
The limitations are only that the search box, and RSS links cannot be moved from their place. This would disturb the design, and the design is why you all like this theme, right?
Other than that, feel free to move around your favorite widgets all over both sidebars.

This theme, like all themes released by Bloggy Network are released under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License.

4I just installed this and it won’t load the site. Get a blank page with a network error. Have latest version of wordpress, and was looking forward to the widget ready illacrimo. Unfortunately, this release after many attempts just won’t load. The non-widget version still works great.

7Ok, I figured out the problem. I had ‘WordPress should compress articles (gzip) if browsers ask for them’ checked on under Options > Reading. Once I turned that off, it worked beautifully! Thank you for a great theme.

Thank you so much for this pretty nice work!!!
but i think i’ve some problems with Illacrimo Widget Ready Version.
I uploaded and activated theme files without any problems. Under the Widgets menu both of widget sections could be seen but with drag-drop i couldn’t add or drop any widget. even i couldn’t re-arrange the widgets which are already existed on the first(left) widget section.
has any of you got same problem?
How can i fix this problem?

17though I like this alot I just can’t implement it on my site. If I try and change anything in the admin area including writing a post I get

and other such cannot modify header errors.
what is the solution to this as it would be a shame not to use this template

19I love the theme. I am having the same problem that tonyrich mentioned above, though. Is there an easy way to resolve that?
I’d love to use the template, but don’t want to deal with the error.
Anyway, Elena G. does some excellent design work. Great use of colors and curves. In fact, I’m looking at ilacrimo to replace the bloggingpro template she made that I am using currently!

21Works fine in Firefox (Mac/Windows), Safari 2.x, but not in IE6.x on Windows. Div SRL and Div SRR is in the bottom of the page. Tested with two computers.

I have a problem. It’s probably comments.php and that javascript mouseover thingie
Take a look at

and hover the “Post your comment” button and you’ll see an error at statusbar of IE (I’m using IE7 btw).
How may i get over that problem?

34I tried WR version in Wordpress MU. Search doesn’t work. Also I don’t find the tool bar in the editor. If I use non Wr vesrion it work fine. So there is some problem with the WR vesrion.

57everytime i try to ypdate/modify something i get this error, even if i click on the subscribe to my own rss (just for test), i get this same error. can any one plz solve this.

It was a silly mistake on my part.
However the following problems with wordpres 2.2.2
Conflict with nextGen gallery plug-in. Single pictures do not display. Works with your none widget theme.
RSS feed invalid - again good with older theme.

72… delete line 20, 21 and 22. Earlier I’ve also deleted in header.php line /javascript/imghover.js”>. Because I coudn’t find this js file. But, this lifespy site is also using the js file, so I’ve found it in the temp internet dir. It took a lot of time, but I understand Wordpress and this very nice template much better now …

75Same issue as no 34. The search works fine in WR version but there is a layout problem, please try and see what I mean. Using the non WR version works also fine and NO layout problem. After copying all the non WR files into the WR dir; the same layout problem shows. This sounds a little strange to me, because this shouldn’t happen. I don’t understand this. Please reply.

76I really like this theme. However, there are two things that don’t work how I’d like them to. First, the title bar always shows the URL of the site. Second, I like to have the category count shown next to the category. If I don’t use the widgetness of this theme I’m able to get it to display just fine by modifying sidebar.php and archives.php. However, if I specify the Categories widget, it doesn’t show the counts. Can you help?

78I figured out how to get categories displaying how I want them with widget-ready themes. Just modify the widget_categories record in the wp_options table. Sorry for the spam question.

79I solved the problem with ordered lists. The fix is to modify the li styles to be ul li styles instead and to add an ol style that sets margin-left to 25px. All I’m left with now is the title on the title bar.

81Oops. My last post contained PHP code, which doesn’t display properly :-). The problem was that there are three lines in header.php that contain only a less-than sign and a question mark. The question mark on all three lines should be followed by ‘php’ (without the quotes). Now it works great! I modified it slightly to always display the blog name.
Thanks for a good theme. You may want to update it so others don’t have to deal with these nits.

85Deleting those lines didn’t do anything for me…just made it worse. Put them back in but still get the error.
Also, my post editor only writes in code instead of visual with this theme, and I get weird  characters where there should be spaces…any ideas?

91There is a defininte problem with the widget-ready version of this plug-in. Whenever you edit a page, login/out, etc., the page doesn’t reload. I have PHP display errors off but I assume it’s the header problem everyone has discussed.
The blank lines in the PHP code should have nothing to do with it. Blank lines are ignored. Likewise, the

94Hey All,
Here’s an addendum to my previous post:
Upon examining a functioning demo of the theme, I found that his RSS feeds did indeed work. - Although it looks as though he has used the theme “as is” and didn’t change any widgets. - So I’m thinking that it’s the inclusion of widgets that is beaking the embedded RSS feeds.

I installed this version, but when I select presentations>widgets
It reads “You are seeing this message because the theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions.” But that link doesn’t seem to help with this theme.
sorry, if this is a stupid question, I’m new to blogging, and coding so everything’s a “learning experience” these days.
What can I try to enable the widgets section?

111I followed the link on this page (102) thinking I was getting a tweaked widget ready version. After working on it i left a message for 102 that I couldn’t get widget sidebar to show up. He answered that he had not make it widget ready. So I tried the wordpress codex site and did exactly what it said but now i have widget sidebar showing up under widgets but it doesn’t show up on blog.
Can anyone help. I love this template but what a mess it has been!

112Thanks for the great theme, but I have a question. I solved the problem with the header warning message, but now I am trying to figure out the plugins native to the theme (flickr, gravatar,…). Should they be showing up somewhere in admin?

113Has anyone ever tried to implement the wordpress transmenu plugin to Illacrimo, so that the tabs correctly show menus and submenus with transparent animated dropdowns?

I just tried the wp-scanner from the site http://blogsecurity.net/ which help you to see if your blog wordpress is secured or not. This theme is beautiful but not very secured. When i tried to see how secure was my blog with this theme, the scanner alert me: “This blog uses a template that is vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting Attacks.” …..
the problem: the use of ‘PHP_SELF’ in searchbar in sidebar apparently….

I am not much of an CSS hero, so maybe someone here has a hint for me:
if you use any text-widgets, the text is formatted with class=textwidget, which is not defined in the css of this theme and looks pretty dark & dull by default…
Where and with what code can it be defined for the right and inner sidebar?
Should be somewhere under the .SRR and .SRL sections, but not sure what the code should look like…
Thanks for any hints!
