Money

Okay, this is now becoming a short series. Mere are three more in the same line as those that came before. Unless you’re an experienced jet setter, you may have to pay attention to several things. If traveling overseas, keep in mind that currency will be an issue. And there can be emergencies so you need to be prepared for some quick fixes. Yesterday we went three plus one with the travel tips. Today, we came up with five and here they are.

Important documents. If the idea of storing document files in a USB flash drive doesn’t sound good to you, then you can bring the printout but make sure they are very organized. If carrying a briefcase is not an option, just keep them in a folder which will prevent any folding and label them so that you’ll know immediately where to find important papers when you need them.

Different currencies. When you have different currencies to use on your travel, make sure that you keep them in different purses. Coins are easy to confuse so you should know where each coin should go. Also, know the current exchange rate ranges so that you can expect how much you’d get for your cash. While a credit card will always come in handy, be sure that you carry cash too.

Know what you packed. It is important that you know the things you brought with you. You can make a list of them so that you won’t leave anything behind. You wouldn’t want to forget your slippers under your hotel bed, would you? Before you leave the hotel, during packing, you can review the list and check those which you have already put in the bag.

Bring a duct tape. What do you do when you accidentally had your bag / suitcase ripped? Instead of buying a new bag out of emergency need, save your bag with duct tape. There’s no need to buy a new bag unless you really liked the one on the window. A trick is to wrap a nice long strip of duct tape around an old plastic card and stash it in your wallet. This way, you also save space.

Pack a med kit. This is mostly advisable when traveling interstate. Most overseas airports would have strict guidelines in bringing in medicine. But in any case, here’s what you should include in a travel med kit.
