We have found leaving a bowl or two with vinager in it works wonders for:
cooking odors, strong perfumes/cologne, fireplace, etc. We do not allow smoking indoors, but the smell can linger on clothing and thus into the house. The vinegar works.
We also have placed bags of volcanic rock (crushed) in the central ventilation returns. We place them in the sun for a few hours every 8 months or so to &quot;recharge&quot; them).</description>
