It’s such a misfortune to have officemates who get to your nerves. And I’ve got a handful who succeed at annoying me on a regular basis. So much so that I just wanna pull their hair off their heads and make them eat it.
If you also have this misfortune, you should never allow your officemates to give you a negative working environment. Use all your energy to ignore them instead while focusing on your own targets.
If you are at wits’ end and the job doesn’t really cut it, the best thing you can do is to apply for another job fast – so you can get out of there. Why slave over a crummy job with people you hate? A word of warning though, a lot of my friends resigned before they have a replacement job. A BIG MISTAKE. Don’t risk it. So you think leaving will rid you of these jerks, huh? Don’t think of resigning just because you can’t stand them. Well have you ever thought about your bills? Paying your bills on time is more important than a perfect day without your annoying officemates.
Go to another department and stay there for a few minutes. When someone in the room annoys you, get out of there. Prevent yourself from a possible flare up by moving yourself to another place where there’s people you like.
Have a mantra that will keep you aspiring for excellence and repeat it especially when you’re feeling stressed out. The worst thing you can do to yourself is when you allow your incompetent officemates to render you incompetent as well. Remember that your little feud can actually be as basic as envy. If you keep yourself at the top, the lesser beings can just eat your dust.
Give up the argument. Sometimes it’s not worth arguing with some people. And no matter how much you explain your point, you will never reach an agreement. If all your attempts at agreement fails, drop any hopes of being friends with each other and just try to avoid the person unless you really have to coordinate with each other.

1Thank you for your post, indeed officemates might affect your environment negatively. And if you give him/her the chance to control you, that would alter your focus.

2How about being plain mean and telling them that they bother you? If that persists, take it to your boss.
