It’s not a matter of how large your kitchen space is, but how you make use of that space. A small kitchen can store an abundance of items and appliances only if you maximize all the spaces you have in the heart of your home. Here are a few tips on how to make effective use of your kitchen space for storage.
If your kitchen wall has a bare section, you can install a rack with hooks. You can even put a whole wire wall grid on it. This is a great place for hanging kitchen tools that you need often. Some light racks and holders can also be added for you small spice bottles and other kitchen knick-knacks.
The same idea can be done to the insides of cabinet doors. As long you give enough clearance so you can properly close the doors, you can attach racks where you can hang or place small, light, and thin items.
Adjustable shelves or panel sliders that can fit your shelves are another way to be smart about kitchen storage. With these babies, you can adjust the width of space necessary for your items.
Sometimes those airtight, stackable containers that they sell in sets can be very useful. You can store in them most dry goods such as sugar, rice and other grains, nuts, and all of those food stuff that are packed in big boxes and sacks. Just make sure that they can fit perfectly in your shelf spaces such as your pantry, cupboard, and cabinets.
