We’re inching closer and closer to the release of our favorite browser and we’re expecting Beta 3 to be released soon. Mozilla has just frozen the code for Beta 3 but indicated that there might yet be a Beta 3.1 before they move on to giving us the Release Candidate versions.
One great feature they’ve included with this is the new add-ons browsing facility. You don’t need to access the Mozilla Add-ons website. A window in Firefox would let you search and browse through all the available add-ons. While it only shows a handful of results (at least it provides a link to the add-ons site), this provides a small convenience especially for new users.
How the browser would look isn’t still final but there should be some more tweaks along the way. If there’s one thing I don’t dig with how things look is that, the browser looks like a piece of Fisher-Price toy. Very plastic.
