It’s that time of the year again and with just a bit over two weeks, might as well prepare for the upcoming Halloween hoopla. Trick or Treat, Jack-o-lanterns, costumes, parties. No matter how old or young you are, there’s just so much the occasion can offer. So are you ready?

Have you got the kid’s costumes? When the kids start asking about their Halloween costumes, you’re sure to get stressed out. It would be so easy if they all want to be ghosts where all you need are white blankets. But no, your eldest wants to dress up as a vampire, your middle wants to be a witch and your youngest wants to be a puppy. Now just how are you going to have all that? Can you sew these costumes or are you heading off to the nearest department store and hope they have all those?

Before shopping for these costumes, remember that you cannot splurge on it because they’re are often to be used once yea if not, ever. You might wanna check out some second-hand clothes first so you can save up big time.

Stock up on candies. Buy your candies early. Kids will be lining up your door soon so make sure you have enough treats.

Do you have any Halloween decors? Dig up last year’s decorations and see which ones you can still use for this year. You can ask your kids to cut out some Halloween caricatures from their magazines. This could be fun for them so you can save up on Halloween decors this year.

Make sure any fire is under close watch. Monitor your candles to make sure your kid isn’t playing around with them. Many cases of fire happen during Halloween because of candles. Or, to make sure fire prevention is covered, talk to your child first about fire safety and give very simple and clear instructions to never leave a candle burning.
