Well you look at that. Many months after Google bought out Feedburner, they only got to fully implement AdSense for Feeds just now. They piloted it last May but it’s only now that the rest of the world can actually get to use it. And that took quite a while too, with the Feedburner Ad Network (FAN) has also been around for quite some time and all.

With AdSense for Feeds, Google now closes FAN so as to have the ball rolling on AdSense. The new Feeds option lets you create a new ad unit to be placed on your feed. The sizes are limited to 468×60 and 300×250 which is pretty reasonable since those two sizes integrate well to feed reader layouts, perhaps ideally for Google Reader.

Two bad that, as of the moment there’s no existing link between your Google and FeedBurner accounts. That means you still have to migrate accounts manually by e-mailing adsense-support-aff@google.com and giving them your FeedBurner username and the AdSense account email address. Google has struggled doing integration as with the case of YouTube and Google Accounts and I don’t see them making things real easy with this one too.
