
Pregnancy is a very delicate stage–not just for the woman, but for both would-be parents. For couples who are planning on having a baby real soon, here are some things you have to cover.
Make regular visits to the Ob/Gyn. Women who are planning to get pregnant should b in the pink of health–for her sake and for the baby’s. Consulting with the doctor will educate you on medical preparations which you might need to be in good shape. Another health condition which you have to consult is your current weight and the weight you will gain when you get pregnant. Ask your doctor about this.
Dads should have a check-up too! Future fathers should be in good health as well so that they can assist their wives during the pregnancy stage. Because of this, it would be better if both future parents to visit their physicians together.
Start eating healthy now. If you have been ignoring the food pyramid then now is the right time to have a copy printed. Post it on the ref then refer to it whenever you plan your everyday meals. You need to start eating right because the baby also needs your body to be at its best.
Quit your bad habits. And that includes smoking, drinking lots of booze and especially the drugs. These things can make conception a lot more difficult. More importantly, these put your baby at risk with regard to health. If you want to deliver a healthy baby, quit your bad habits now.
Keep doing your fitness routines. Contrary to some popular belief, it’s OK to do some sporty activities when pregnant, as long as it’s not a very aggressive physical exertion. You can still jog, do yoga, or swim. To be sure just what exercise is best for you, consult this with your doctor as well.
