Worker

How’s work lately? Not so good? Do you hate your work? Well, that’s just original. If you look at the people you pass by on the street when you’re all on your way to your own work, you’ll see them scurrying with their Starbucks, and looking really stressed out - and it’s only morning!

People in general have a lot of nasty things to say about their work. But hey, that’s just unfair. Your work enables you to afford a lot of things - that Macbook, your iPod, those classy suits, the hot girls, and your apartment. Try to qualify your complaints before you voice them out.

There are other reasons why you feel like your work (in lack of a better, more original word) sucks. Don’t (totally) blame it on your boss because you are the only person responsible for your career.

People who are unhappy with their jobs are usually those who don’t excel in the office. The bottom line is, you can’t afford to lose your job. So be worth of your paycheck.

Manage your time well. You are given at least 8 hours every day to get some work done. But then at the end of the day you only managed to finish a 3-page progress report. And you still think you can’t be replaced? Come on! 8 hours is plenty! You just have to cut down on gossip, daydreaming, and forwarding funny emails. Even hopping from one job to another costs you time. Focus, focus, focus!

Be resourceful. Sometimes you need something from a person to complete a task but it turns out the person is on leave today. You wait until tomorrow. right? Wrong. Analyze your need. Is the material you lack not available anywhere else? The internet can give you almost any data you need. Explore your resources first before any procrastination.
