Hey, spring is here and soon, it’d be summer. Ever thought of being a sailor for once? A pirate perhaps? Aaar, matie! The ocean has always been an avenue for you to explore. So if you want to be a sailor, and you’ve been saving for a really long time to get your very own boat then you’ll have to know these first.
Okay, so we might not all have the resources to buy a yacht complete with a captain and crew. But you can always content yourself with something smaller and something more practical. What type of sailor do you plan to be?
If your chosen water is a lake, a houseboat would be ideal. You can use it for a short stay in during your vacations. You can make houseboating a very good hobby because houseboats are good for camping. As thye name implies, a houseboat is very much like the home, so depending on your budget, you can have even a DVD player so you can watch Lake Placid. Hehe.
Are you into fishing? Then you’ll need a fishing boat! Fishermen usually prefer small fishing boats so they can get into narrow rivers. Get the hat and go fish!
You want to go powerboating? Power boats are the bestsellers because these arethe ones used for fun activities like waterskiing or wakeboarding. There are powerboats which you can also use for fishing purposes.
Are you a weekend warrior? How about a kayak that you can take to the rapids once in a while and brave the swirling water with powerful strokes.
Are you up for a real sailor’s job? Try manning a sailboat. Sailboats are mainly propelled by sails alone, but some modern sailboats are only partly sails. The sloop is probably the most popular these days, but small time wanna-be sailors can opt for the smaller dinghies or catboats.
