You got so used to your high-calorie meals that you have reached the conclusion that oatmeal and wheat bread are just not worth it. With your body adopting a bigger dress size, you might want to think again. Low-fat does not mean tasteless and desiccated. If you can’t take oatmeal, you can always go for heavy tacos and chunky sandwiches. The secret is controlling your meals and making sure you don’t eat anything with too many calories and too fatty.

The problem is when you don’t have a choice except to choose from greasy cafeteria menu. To gain more control over what you eat, pack your own lunch. This way you save on lunch costs and you get to strictly follow your diet. You should always pack your veggies and don’t load your lunchbox with meat. If you don’t have it, you can’t eat it so leave the meat at home, or better yet, don’t shop for meat any more.

Be more aware of how much you’re putting on your plate. Regardless of how hungry you are, you should always control your portions. Drinking lots of water before a meal also prevents you from overeating.

Reconsider doing workout. Whether you like it or not, your body needs routine cardio exercise. The least you can do is to commit to a walking exercise everyday even for as short as 15 minutes. You can buy one of those dancing DVDs or do some Tae Bo or aerobics. You’ll tone your muscles just in time for summer.

It’s the binging that betrays your efforts. After dinner, train and motivate yourself to not slip yourself anything more than a glass of water.
