Most of the time, you only have one chance to make an impression – whether it’s good or bad is entirely up to you. Are you aware of the first impression you make about yourself when you meet new people? Impressions are important because some people only have one chance to meet you. Try these steps to guide you into making good impressions on strangers.
When you meet people for the first time, make them feel as if you’re really happy to meet them and say it, too. The usual line, “I’m glad to meet you.” might seem so routine but it’s actually a very pleasant thing to say to someone you’re meeting for the first time, as long as you don’t say it as if it were only a customary line you automatically say when you shake hands.
Smile, and don’t look bored or tired even if you are. This gives the impression that you’re not enthusiastic. Making a good impression by being pleasant despite fatigue is a true sign of seasoned professionalism. Your goal is to make people mean it when they say that it was nice to meet you, too.
Remember that making a good impression doesn’t mean you have to impress people. Trying too hard is going to annoy everyone and they’re going to see through the phoniness. It’s not necessary to go out of your way to please your new acquaintances. Being polite is enough.

1Nice post. In addition to what you have mentioned here, I also believe that their should not be any kind of artificiality in our talks.
That’s it.
