Love is a many splendored thing–at least that’s what they say in the movies. But sometimes we tend to take love for granted. But for the true Romeos, doing that is a big NO-NO. That is why it is important to be creative and inspired so you can sustain love for a long time. One of the things you can do to make love live longer is to surprise your loved one by transforming your run-of-the-mill bedroom into a romantic love nest.

Re-paint. You need to consider re-painting your bedroom if the walls of your bedroom are boring. Remember that color and visuals in general have a big effect on a person’s mood and emotions. The most popular colors for romantic ambiences are red and pink–so choose a color among these shades.

Change your beddings. How long has it been since you’ve had new beddings? Just like visuals, touch and texture also have major effects on feelings. Make sure that the color of the cloth complements that of the newly-painted walls, and they have to be super comfortable and soft.

Get non-romantic things out. If you have other space where you can put your shoes, books, CDs, or treadmill, put them somewhere else. Reserve the bedroom for things which support the theme of love–clean sheets, dim lights, soft music, and carpeted floor. A messy table should be in the study room.

Use mirrors. Men are known to react positively to mirrors in the bedroom, especially when it has a good view of the bed. Mirrors add a subtle twist because the view of the bed (and everything on it) will definitely make intimate moments more intense.
