Planning a party is not a very easy task. And what makes it harder is if you’re the one assigned to organize your company’s Christmas Party this month. Of course the plan for the party depends on how big your company is, but regardless of the size, the Christmas Party you’re planning should be the best your officemates had ever had. To achieve this, you’ll have to consider a few things.

First, make sure everyone is coming. Before you make plans, you have to make sure how many your attendees are. You have to establish a policy which will make everyone attend the party. A policy is needed because without such, employees have a tendency to not show up.

Make everyone confirm their attendance or unavailability. Whether they’re attending or not, they have to inform you because it’s going to affect your budget and your preparations. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the funds you need.

Make a good deal with the venue. Talk to the venue reservation and try to make a very good value of your money. One of the things you can ask is an open bar, or unlimited drinks. Some venues give such options for a minimum of budget so inquire if you can avail it. An open bar usually makes people want to stay longer–if not for the company, for the free beer or juice.

Select a theme. People may initially think having a theme is cheesy, but actually, it makes your party grander. You don’t want employees walking in your party in their slippers, unless it’s your theme.

Have an exciting presentation and lots of giveaways, games and raffle prizes. Having lots of fun activities and prizes will entice employees to not only attend, but also to stay longer and maybe even until the end of the program, if you save the best part for last.
