Valentine’s

Valentine’s Day isn’t an official holiday. But thanks to years and years of the influence of capitalism, well, it sort of snowballed to something that has become a big deal. Flowers, chocolates, jewelry – year after year, your Valentine’s gift choices don’t get any more interesting than this. This year, try a new Valentine’s treat by transforming your home to a romantic haven! Bring home the love this Valentine’s Day and surprise her when she comes home from work.

Before you get carried away with your ideas, the first thing to do is to clean the house. No amount of decoration can mask a messy house.

Instead of giving her flowers, put them on separate lovely vases to give your home a fresh and garden-like ambiance. Red roses spell pure passion, but her favorite flowers might prove to be more appreciated.

If you are one of those people who must have red roses on Valentine’s, take your passion to the next level and create a flower bed of petals. Either you make a petal pathway from the living room that leads to your bedroom or just sprinkle vibrant and fresh red rose petals on your super clean bed. She’ll get what you mean. *wink*

A table for two is always a favorite and is never obsolete! You can either setup a formal dinner for two complete with the wine and champagne, or create a cozy nook (you’ll need soft pillows, a clean carpet or a love seat and a box of chocolate to munch on) near the TV where the two of you can watch romantic movies all night.

Mood. In creating the mood, lighting is everything. When everything is ready, light some aroma candles. You know what they say, dim lighting brings a lot of possibilities.
