If you have a budding business, one thing you can do to make sure it reaches out to your market is through advertising. And you can think of so many ways on how you can promote your products – flyers, posters, radio and TV ads, newspaper ads, and so on. But the thing is, advertising is really going to cost you.
But don’t be discouraged. You don’t have to shell out everything to get some exposure. You only have to be resourceful so you can maximize every opportunity you can get your hands on.
How about the getting the word out through word of mouth? It might be as old as time, but nothing beats word of mouth advertising. You are more likely to trust your friend’s recommendation rather than a print ad, right?
Create a web site. Everybody is online now. If your products are accessible online, potential customers can stumble upon your business when they hit one of your tags. And with your own website, you get to control every advertising detail which you want to emphasize. Include hi-resolution pictures, measurements, and selling price. While doing this, you can also promote your website. Include your website in your contact details every time you produce your marketing materials.
Speaking of marketing collaterals, look up for possibilities of token merchandise. Go for those which are affordable and often used like notepads, mugs, pens, and paper bags. Ordering in bulk will save up on costing, and you advertise your brand every time people use your merchandise.
Look for possible tie-ups. When you join trade fairs, you will meet people from other business. This is good because they’re not just potential customers, they are potential partners. A tie-up means less cost for you both.
