Knife Blood

More tips for the ladies here. So the date was fun. He was charming and you obviously captivated him with your beauty and grace. He has a good career and he seems responsible and he likes football, too. Sounds perfect? Not yet. There are things you must make certain of before you go “somewhere else” with this guy.

Safety always comes first. (How many times do we have to say this?) Before you go out on a date, (especially on a blind date) tell your housemates who you’re going out with just so they’ll know where to find you if emergency strikes. Who knows, this guy just might be the next Buffalo Bill.

Choose your venue well. Even if it’s thrilling to go on a deserted park because he’s just so hot and you want to have him all to yourself, think of the danger you might put yourself into by being alone with practically a stranger. If you don’t trust this person yet, it’s safer to meet on a public place like a restaurant or a theater. Save the more intimate locations when you already know more about him.

Trust your instinct. He’s sexy but there’s just something about him that makes you feel unsettled. Listen to your instinct when it tells you things. If you feel so strongly about canceling a date then go ahead and cancel it.

Bring some “insurance.” Yeah, like a taser or a can of mace. You can get them with permits to lug around. You just can’t be too sure these days.

Always use protection when you do it. Oh yeah, safety isn’t only about the other guy being a psycho. What if he’s the harbinger of plague? The only way you can ensure your health is to use protection every time you do it with someone, regardless if you know the person or not. Safety is just a convenience store away.
