If there is one make-up product that a girl should always have in her person, it’s got to be the lipstick. It’s a good mood pick-upper and quite easy to apply too for emergencies. However, if you have time, you can do the following steps to make your lipstick stay longer:
Dab a little bit of foundation on your lips. There are lip primers available in the market if you wish to try, but foundation works as well. This base will help make the color pop out and the product to stay on your lips longer.
Although the next step is optional, you may want to consider it as it makes the lips look sexier, making the outline of your lips more defined. What you do is draw the natural shape of your lips with a lip liner. You can use a liner that is close to the color of your lipstick or better yet, use a neutral colored one. It still does its job of defining without altering the color of the lipstick.
Now it’s time to apply your lipstick. Warm it up a bit by rubbing the tube between your palms during winter. Make sure that it’s at room temperature so that it will apply easily and evenly. Move the lipstick along the shape of your top and bottom lips, staying in the lines. Rub your lips together. If you feel that you have too much lipstick, you simply get a tissue and gently press your lips on them. Apply another coat if you feel you have less.
