How many times have I exhausted my funds against my will? It happens almost every time I shop. And I’m just tired of feeling all that regret just because I can’t seem to control my spending. But everything’s gonna change as long as I keep these in mind. See if it works for you, too.
Have a set limit when shopping. Not counting the excitement of spontaneous splurging, it doesn’t feel right to have a piece of garment which is worth one day of what I get in a month. Any one outfit that costs that much is not worth the amount of stress I gained at the office.
Say no to freeloaders. Do friends use your card, pay late, and you end up paying all the charges? Is someone always borrowing your stuff without returning them? As much as you want to be generous, there’s just a limit to it and that doesn’t involve you paying more when you have enough in the first place.
Don’t ignore signs of bad health. What seems like a simple flu can develop into weeks of being sick. And that means taking a leave off work without the pay. So if I feel like I’m coming down with something, I’ll get it treated before it becomes worse—and more expensive.
