Start your mornings right by not going through stressful bouts with your children. Here are some tips and suggestions on how to begin your days calmly and stress-free.
Develop a morning routine. Create a series of steps or tasks on how to go about in the morning – from waking up to finally leaving the house for school. Maintain it and practice it everyday. Soon enough, you and your children will make it a habit and your mornings won’t be troublesome anymore.
Have an early start. You can always sleep in during the weekends. But during workdays, eit would be better to practice waking up a few (about ten to fifteen minutes) earlier than usual. This will allow you a little more room so you won’t feel rushed as you go through your morning rituals.
Getting kids to move after waking up can be a problem. Allow them about 5 minutes to fully wake up. Sit the younger ones in the kitchen and give them a cup of juice before you get back to them and start with getting them ready.
Assign the older kids to help the younger ones. This will not only teach them responsibility, but this will also give them some bonding time. This will also allow you to fix their lunches, or cook breakfast freely.
