Relax

Working is all well and good, but working non-stop without taking a break will eventually take a toll on your body and your productivity. Be sure to make time to have a few minutes each day to relax and unwind. These short “me times” will do great things to refresh your mind, and thus make you more productive.

The easiest way to relax is to take a nap. A power nap worth ten minutes during lunch break (after taking lunch), or this could be longer if you work at home can do wonders to energize you. If sleeping is difficult, try taking a short walk outside the office building.

For twenty to thirty minutes, try to shut off your phone, your computer, your television, or anything that offers distraction. Use the time to sit back and relax and sip a cold drink. Those thirty minutes of blessed silence away from the usual hustle and bustle is like taking a short vacation somewhere far and quiet.

Having fun with children can be relaxing, though this may not be the case for everyone. However, if you have children, have quality time with them at the end of the day. Involving yourself in their nightly rituals – bathing, settling down, reading a story, and watching them as they fall asleep can be relaxing and joyous to many parents.
