Re-define the meaning of beauty sleep by actually giving yourself simple beauty treatments while you’re in dreamland.
Seal moisture in skin. Instead of buying expensive moisturizers, why not try petroleum jelly? It’s cheaper, and it works! What it does is basically locks the moisture in your skin to make it soft, plump, and healthy. What you should do is do your regular night time skin-care routine – wash and toner. For your moisturizer, massage a very small amount of petroleum jelly unto your skin until it becomes less greasy. If you have oily skin, you can skip this and opt for something less oily.
Deep condition your hair. Once a week, you can give your hair a special conditioning treatment. You can use any deep-conditioning mask of your choice. Wash your hair, making sure that you squeeze excess water afterwards. Apply the deep conditioner evenly. Comb your hair from root to tip before covering it in a shower cap. The cap will not only protect your bedding from stains, but it will also provide heat that will help your scalp absorb oils from the product. Leave it overnight. Simply rinse off the product when you wake-up. No need to shampoo.
Take care of your eyes. This works best after a day of staring at the computer monitor at work. Simply apply eye cream before you go to sleep and put on an eye mask. Sleep on your back so that fluid do not pool under the skin beneath your eyes, which in turn makes your eyes look puffy even after a good night’s sleep.
