laptop-case

Taking laptops out the house is like taking a baby out in the park. You can’t just take it as is. Well yeah, of course you can but the hassle and the annoyances, but if you want to make the most out of theĀ  experience, you have to bring a few essentials with you.

An extra battery. If you are planning to use your laptop somewhere for a long period of time, always bring an extra battery. Make sure that is fully charged. Although most establishments such as cafes, school libraries, etc. allow you to plug your laptop to their electric outlet, there are still those who may not. Besides, even if you can do so, you shouldn’t hog the electric outlet during the duration of your stay, especially if you’re going to work on your laptop for hours.

Mouse.
There are mini mice designed for laptop use. Not everyone prefers a touchpad and would rather use a mouse. If you’re one of those people, don’t forget your mouse.

Ethernet cable or plug-in wireless card. This is if you have an old model laptop which doesn’t have built-in wireless cards.

Laptop cases and locks.
Although it is a bad idea to leave your laptop unattended (even if you have someone to watch over it), especially in a public space, there are emergency cases (such as bathroom breaks) where you can’t help but do so. Might as well use a laptop lock. Strap it to your desk and do your business fast.
