Many women have their hair permed, while some are fortunate enough to get it naturally. If you have kinky hair, find a hair style that would show this as an asset. Avoid getting one that requires you to slather creams, waxes, alcohol-based products, and undergo chemical and heat treatments that would deaden your curls. These would weaken your hair and it will be more difficult to get oil to to your hair from your scalp, making the curls dry and prone to damage.
Clean and deep conditioned hair would free scalp pores from dirt and grime. Wash your hair often. And don’t forget to rinse hair after exercising or any sweaty activity. The salt in sweat can make hair brittle. Drink plenty of fluids in order to replenish water in your body. This would also aide in having healthy locks.
Massage your scalp daily with the tips of your fingers. You can do this every night before going to bed. Massaging will promote blood circulation and oil production, giving your hair much needed nutrients.
Kinky hair is prone to natural tangling. Tie your hair down before you sleep, either in a pony tail or by braiding it. This will prevent your hair from getting damaged when it rubs against the pillow case.
