jealousy

Jealousy is one of the worst emotions you can ever feel. It makes you aware of your darker side. If you let the Green Eyed Monster get to you, you tend to think and act your worst. So what do you do to keep jealousy at bay?

Sometimes, jealousy takes root because of our own insecurities. The key here to is to develop more confidence. Accept that each person is unique and different. Know your strengths and use them. Know your weaknesses. Acknowledge them and if you can do something about them, make improvements. If you know yourself better then you will like yourself better. You will learn to love yourself. If you love yourself, then there’d be no room for jealousy in your heart.

Learn to respect yourself. How can you expect other people to like you, much more respect you if you keep on putting yourself down? If you respect yourself, there is no reason for you to ask questions about people’s loyalties.

Keep in mind that you are in control of your life. If you want something bad, then go for it. No reason for hating other people for something that you don’t have and they do. Use the feeling of want or need to motivate you to do better. Try not to step on other people’s toes as you do so. You may get what you want in the end, but would you feel just as good if you were able to get it through more “sinister” means.
