Here are some suggestions on how to make sure your presentations at work flow smoothly and flawlessly:

Plan and prepare. Establish who your audience is and what your objectives are. Create an outline and work on it. Check that all your facts are true. State your resources. Make sure that you have slides or media that matches your objectives and audience. Establish a  time frame for your presentation.

As for your slides, make sure that it is organized according to your outline. Choose one graphical style per slide and use it throughout the package. Be original and don’t steal from exisitng presentation packages. Check your font if it is readable both in size and style. Make sure that your color schemes are cool in the eyes and that the contrasts can make your text readable. Animations can break monotony but don’t overdo it. Just list down the main points in the slide. Don’t overcrowd it with information. Make sure that you don’t read your whole speech off the slides. Each slide should be brief and concise.

Practice with your slides
so you’ll time it perfectly. Be enthusiastic so your audience will like and trust you. Know your slides and the subject matter by heart. Don’t over-memorize. Make sure you understand it so if the audience asks questions, you’ll be able to answer without looking at your notes. Use a pointer but only to emphasize a point. Using it too much can be distracting same with gestures. Don’t dwell on a single slide. Make sure that you finish on time.
