Sweaty Exercise

Last week, we featured five things you shouldn’t forget when working out. This week, we’re featuring five more:

Commit. Fitness is a lifestyle change. It makes the mind sharper, and the body healthier. But you have to learn that exercise isn’t something you can do only when you feel like doing it. It has to be integrated into your lifestyle.

Stop comparing. If you compare yourself with that guy with the 6 pack abs, then you’ll only set yourself for disappointment. Stop measuring yourself against others. Set weekly or monthly goals and make sure that you meet them. Be fit for your own sake and not for anyone else’s.

Proper gear. Wear the proper gear. Invest in good work-out shoes designed perfectly for the exercises or activities you are doing. They might come off as expensive at first, but if these will prevent you from getting injuries while working out, then they will be worth it.

Eat properly.
Ask your doctor for the correct foods to take while doing your exercise program. On one hand, going through a crash diet will only lead you to illness. On the other hand, too much food will render your workout useless.

Stretch after your work out.
This is the equivalent of a cool down we’ve discussed in the other article. Just take 10 minutes to stretch to increase blood flow to muscles.
