Recently, there have been news of companies closing down. And it has become alarming because the companies closing down are relatively big and established. And so we cannot really help but get jumpy on how this mishap can affect our lives. Needless to say, our jobs are crucial to our sustenance. And some of us have even been more clever doing more jobs than one. All in the name of improving our finances.
Will transferring to another job give you a fatter paycheck? This usually works, but you can’t be sure that your next job will be better than what you already have. Showing up for job interviews means you’ll lose money for being absent from the office. So think twice. Before you commit to any interviews, research about the company inviting you and if possible, ask about how much their job offer is.
Announce to your social network that you’re looking for a new job. If you have a friend who’s working for a company you’re eyeing, ask him to help you with your application. This can help speed things up. Having more people help you seek job opportunities is good, just make sure the announcement doesn’t reach your boss.
Remember though, that having another job will require you to make a lot of adjustments, an even more sacrifices. First, it will eat up what precious time you have left after your regular office hours. Ncxt, you will have to ask your family’s understanding that you may not be able to spend as much time with them as you used to. And then you will have to be ready for the added time pressure and deadlines.
Indeed, more jobs will give you more stress, but if you manage your time effectively, you can definitely squeeze it in and earn more to cope with the times.
