Are you being assigned to a new boss? Or is your department getting a different manager? Well, here comes another phase of adapting and getting-to-know-you’s. Here are some tips and suggestions on how to be able to adapt:
Be flexible. Even if the new boss is the newbie, the boss is still the boss. You would have to be more flexible to their personality and quirks. The boss may be more serious, or more of a perfectionist than the last. Simply keep your mind open and your perspective broad.
Adapt to the new. Again, be ready for change. Not because the original way of doing works means that it’s the only thing that can work. Your boss may have different ways of doing things. Be ready for them.
It will also help if your boss knows that you are willing to “compromise.” Ask if you can have a recurring meeting, may it be weekly or bi-weekly. This will show your openness to communicate.
