Boss

Sometimes things don’t turn out the way people expect them. Here you are, thinking you’ve gotten the managerial position you’ve been working hard for the past five years (or more) only to find out that somebody else got it. What’s worse is that the new boss is younger than you. You do not want to resign in the light of the economic downturn so you decide to syat. But what do you do at work?

Deal with it. You decided to stay so make the best out of the situation. There is no point in sour graping about it. Observe your new boss and you will soon find out why he or she got the position. Who knows, you might be able to learn a thing or two about it.

A boss is a boss, no matter how young or old he or she is. As an employee, the best thing you can do is to do your work and be efficient in it. Be polite and never engage in gossips about the boss. Forget about snide remarks with coworkers. Remember who has the power to terminate you at his or her will.

If you find yourself lacking the energy and pep to match the pace of your new boss, then make it a point to have a talk with your boss. It is also best to let him or her know of your expectations as an employee.
