Instead of munching on chips, crisps, and sugary snacks, which can all be yummy, but definitely unhealthy, why not bring the following healthy munch alternatives to work?
Nuts. Easy to store and don’t spoil easily. These are the best snacks. They have healthy fats and are a good source of fiber. However, make sure that you go for those which are unsalted. Opt for walnuts and almonds, but all nuts are generally good for you.
Berries, tangerines, and dried fruits. If you can bring fresh fruit either cut up in a container or whole, the better. But you can always bring the dried variety too, though they may be high in calorie content. Fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals. They are good nutrition supplements if you do not get enough from your main meals.
Pretzels. You can also munch on pretzels. They are healthier because they have lower sodium content. And unlike other manufactured snacks, they ar usually baked and not fried.
Dark Chocolate. If you are addicted chocolates, then by all means have some. But we suggest that you try out the dark variety with at least 72% cocoa, which has more antioxidants as well. Just try to consume in moderation.
Cheese. You can buy a big block at the grocery store and just slice what you think you’ll need for the day.Place in a container and you’re good to go. Cheese is rich in protein and calcium.
