Is there anybody in your family or among your friends who is finding it difficult to stick to their weight loss program? The least you can do is be supportive and help them persevere. Here are some tips on how to help others with weight loss:
The great thing about helping others with their weight loss program is that you also get to be motivated to have a healthier lifestyle. If you think that you’ve been lacking the opportunity to do some workout, then here is your chance. Be available when your friend or family needs someone to exercise with. You can even initiate and suggest wonderful activities such as walking, dancing, swimming, or biking.
Lend your ear. Dieting can be very trying and frustrating for most people and it helps if there is a person available to unload some good old rants. Be there for your friend or family. Not only listen but actively encourage them. They need all the comfort and support they can get
If you are living with the dieter, then be supportive of their diet. Make sure that your fridge and pantry are well-stocked with healthy food items and snacks. If you are the cook, then check the portions and try to eliminate the extra fat, salt, and sugar. Do not try to tempt the dieter by eating a whole pint of ice cream in front of them. If you are eating out with the dieter, then go somewhere healthy and if the dieter tends to overeat, give him or her a gentle reminder.
