Spring Cleaning

Are you always busy working that you seldom have time to clean your place? Here are some tips on how to make time for cleaning time

Set limits. Whether you live with other people or if you live alone. Make sure that everyone has chores and responsibilities and that they are done. No excuses for everyone. If a chore is scheduled to be done on this day or time, they should be done. To make sure that these rules are implemented, have a consultation or discussion first. Be sure that everyone is amenable to his or her scheduled chore.

If you live alone, schedule a chore you’d have to do each day. There is no rule that you have to do everything on one day. Monday is grocery day. Tuesday evening is cleaning the bathroom day. Wednesday is dusting furniture day, etc. etc. This way even your weekends are free from chores and you can use them to relax instead.

Pick up after yourself. Don’t throw your clothes and leave them on the floor. There’s a reason why there is a hamper for dirty clothes. Once you’ve eaten, wash the dishes immediately. Put everything in their rightful place after you’ve done using them. In other words, clean as you go.
