The current economic problem is not an excuse to look your worst. We all know a lot of people are conserving their resources, and we should too. But when you can’t afford a pro salon service, how can you look fab? Try these tips and no one will even think you’re running short on beauty funds.
Do your own grooming and other salon services which you can DIY. It’s relatively easy to clean and paint your own nails. Doing your toes can take only 15 minutes. Now there are people who can’t do it to themselves, and if this is the case, better ask your girl friend to do it. You can include these activities in your next slumber party.
Make do with limited grooming products. Although these might look less attractive because of cheaper packaging, they are relatively more affordable. Stick with the basics–powder, eyeliner, blush-on and lipstick are all you really need for make-up.
With regard to washing your soiled clothes, go back to simple washing and ironing. Hands down, the dry cleaners handle your clothes best, but it costs more than regular laundry. You can multi-task by ironing your own clothes while watching TV.
Cancel your gym membership. Gym fees can be an unnecessary addition to your expenses. Check out your local community center and see what you can do as a work-out alternative.
Restructure your menu. Look up the food pyramid and see what you can give up in your actual regular meals without compromising your RDA.
Take care of yourself. If you make sure your body and skin are healthy and glowing, you’d be eliminating the costs on medicine or derma consultations.
