Small business which depend on customers for their survival need all the effort they can muster to keep their customers happy.
The most obvious way to achieve this is to provide consistent high-quality customer service. We have to emphasize two words here – high quality and consistent. Always greet customers with a smile and give them excellent service all the time. Get to know loyal customers by name and remember their preferences.
Suggestion boxes are there for a reason. They give you certain aspects about how you’re doing from the customer’s point-of-view. Create more than a suggestion box. Approach customers and ask how they are doing. Their comments and suggestions could prove to be the next thing that would bring your business to a higher level.
Offer competitive prices and make sure you provide quality products and services. Even if you are the friendliest business on the planet, but if your products or services are not exactly affordable or if the quality is questionable, no one will return.
Establish loyalty programs. Reward loyal customers in their continuous patronage of your business. Perks and prizes will just keep them coming back for more!
