Do you find it difficult to memorize facts and information when you are studying for your school subjects? Here ar some suggestions on how to make it easier to remember what you need for tests and whatnots:
Listen carefully to lectures. The brain usually retain a lot of information when listening. You’ll be surprised at how much you actually remember just by listening carefully.
Take good notes in class. Have separate notebooks for each class or divide parts of your binder and label them properly. This way you have everything organized according to subject.
Use these notes well. Try to leave a margin when you write on your notebook. This space will be allotted when you do your at-home studying. You can write down questions and further information.
Use acronyms when you are trying to memorize facts. You can also try word association. This also makes studying a bit more fun.
Use flash cards, or note cards. Write key points on index cards. You can pour over these instead of reading whole paragraphs from books. You can memorize in the school bus on the way to school.
Answer mock tests. There are resources online. You can print these sample tests and try to answer them. You can check the answers afterwards and see which items you already know and which ones you still need to work on.
