Because the Christmas holidays are coming and we all could need the extra cash, here are some more thrifty little ideas we can use to save cash:
Serve desserts and snacks instead of a whole meal if you need to entertain guests. Ask everyone to come a little late to ensure that everyone’s already eaten dinner. Or you can always go for potluck.
Instead of buying gifts for everyone, why not suggest to draw names in your office, family, and close friends. This way, you only have to buy one gift per group you belong to, and your friends and family will also appreciate having to buy less. You can also suggest a price limit to your gifts so that everyone will get something of equal monetary value.
If you’re a little into crafts and cooking, you can always make use of your talents by giving away home made gifts. If you have a green thumb, why not give away young plants in pots to other gardening enthusiasts such as yourself.
Save on cards and other Christmas stuff for next year’s holiday season by buying them right after this year’s Christmas. You’ll get them on half or even 75% less than their original price. Take advantage!
