Here are more suggestions on how to save more money in these difficult times:
The best way to make sure that you save money is to maintain a lifestyle that is within your means. Consider how much you make in one year and create a budget that would fit that. Don’t forget to include a percentage for your savings. Stick your budget so you won’t find yourself deep in debt.
Find alternative ways of shopping. Instead of buying in big stores, why don’t you try your local markets. Not only will you get better value but you also get fresh, healthy food items. You can also haggle and if you become a regular customer, you can also be given discounts.
Look at your budget and see which items can be trimmed down, if not eliminated. Instead of eating out once a week, perhaps you can do that once a month. Instead of grocery shopping once a week, perhaps you can do it every other week so you save on gas money.
If you get unexpected bonuses and other windfalls, don’t spend them. Put them into your savings instead. This way at the end of the year, you have something extra to spend on leisure items such as a vacation, or a new wardrobe, etc.
