Age doesn’t matter when it comes to taking care of one’s body. You can always begin to improve your health regardless which generation you belong.

You can always begin with getting rid of bad habits and beginning good ones. Start small with refusing dessert after dinner. Or limiting your sugar intake. These seemingly insignificant moves can actually help you in the long run, specially when most elerdly people develop diabetes.

Try to exercise regularly. Don’t be intimidated by those people sweating it out at the gym. Exercise need not be strenuous or expensive. You just have to be consistent with it. Just devote a bit of time to do some brisk walking everyday in the early morning or late afternoon is just as good.

Eat a well-balanced diet. This means eating more veggies and fruits. Taking in less fat and being careful with food that has a lot of sodium and other additives. Instead of using sugar and artificial sweeteners, why not try honey? Don’t forget to drink lots of water too! Keeping yourself hydrated will help get rid of those hunger pangs.

The skin is the largest organ of our body. Don’t forget to take care of it too. Avoid over exposure to the sun. Wear sun screen daily even if it’s cloudy or raining.

Go to the doctor, the dentist, and the optometrist for regular checkups. Don’t wait until you’re already sick before you make a visit.
