It’s so easy to say, “No, thank you. I’m full.” But it’s a totally different thing if your tummy is still enjoying itself. Thing is, stuffing ourself full is quite unhealthy. Here are some ways on how to keep your cravings reduced to a minimal level and thus prevent food stuffing:
Never skip meals. The more we skip meals, the more we become famished. The more we become famished, the more food we eat when we do end up eating. The key here is to follow your body clock and eat regular meals. You may also eat small snacks throughout the day. But make sure that you chomp on healthier choices such as fruits and nuts.
Aside from eating at normal intervals, try eating normal portion sizes as well. Read serving sizes at the back of food products. Those potato chips can be divided to three to five servings. You don’t have to eat the whole bag in one siting. Sometimes, restaurants serve sizes which are double the one we should consume. If you’re eating with a friend, perhaps you might want to share a dish.
If your body says it’s full, it is full. Listen to it because it knows what’s good for itself.
