Hanger

Is everyday a constant battle when it comes to you, your children, and their closet? Starting today, not anymore! Here are some tips and suggestions on how to organize your children’s clothes and make your children keep them neat and orderly:

Go through your children’s closet and get rid of anything that your children have outgrown. You can give them to a relative, a family friend, or a neighbor. You can even give them to charity.

Now that you’ve gotten rid of clutter, you can get to the organizing part. Make sure that your children can get to their clothes. Install a low bar where they can hang their clothes. Put the things they use often at the lower drawers. Put a step stool for easier access. This way, your children cannot make an excuse that they couldn’t reach it.

Purchase a shoe rack which you can put by their bedroom door. Instruct them to put their shoes there after every use so they won’t litter the floor. You also won’t waste precious time in the morning looking for that missing pair.

Get storage containers and label them, or color code them to your kids enjoyment. You can put seasonal clothes in each. For example, you can put summer clothes in a yellow container and so on and so forth.

Have a catch-all basket. Tell your kids to put their things there instead of leaving them on the floor. You can help return the things in the catch-all basket to their rightful place every night (or every week).

Allow your children independence. Let them choose the outfit they will wear the next day. Help them hang the chosen clothes, ready to be worn in the morning. Let them have a drawer of their own which they can organize.
