
It is difficult to stay positive when Murphy’s Law seems to strike you at every turn. But it is possible, if you just believe. Here are some tips on how to manage to do just that:
When you find yourself in a bad situation and the dark side is threatening to engulf you, take a deep breath and try to find at least one good thing about it. Be realistic but optimistic. Be ready for anything but do not always anticipate the worst outcome.
Think of it this way, negative people drain out the happiness around them. You will be difficult to be with. You will eventually drive your family and friends away. Not only that, negativity will only make you perform less than your best. Would you want your boss to pick up your negativity? Too bad, he was considering you for a promotion too!
Negativity causes comminucation and relationship breakdown. If you assume the worst in everything, including people, then how are you able to trust? Take some risks and open yourself to others. There really are those who want to genuinely help you.
Accept that this won’t happen overnight. If you’ve been embracing negativity for a very long time, it would be very difficult to let go. Just ease a bit a day. Trust that you can do it and one day you’ll wake up that that negativity is gone.
