Aside from patience, the following are tips for parents who find it putting their babies back to sleep once they’ve woken up for some reason or the other:
Do not make the mistake of playing with your children or talking loudly to them when your babies’ sleep has been disrupted. Instead, talk gently to them in hush tones while you do what you have to do (change their dipaers, making their bottles, feeding them, etc.). This will help them calm down and stay in a “relaxed” mode. Talking to them will only make them more awake.
Keep them warm and still feel like they are in the comforts of their own crib even when you take them out to carry them over to the changing table. You can do this by picking them up with a blanket. Keep the lights dim and the environment quiet.
Avoid “shocking” the baby’s temperature by using cold wipes. This will wake up your baby all the more. You can use diaper wipe warmers
