The holidays are fast approaching and we’ve already mentioned in previous posts about how practical it would be to start shopping early. But what to do if budget is a little tight? Here are some tips:
If you’re big on crafts, you can always give away anything handmade. If you start with your projects now, you can have enough time to finish them in time for the actual gift giving. You can crochet or knit. You can also try simple and small wooden crafts which you can decorate instead.
If you’re a good cook, you can always give cookies and other baked goods. You can also preserve fruits or pickle vegetables in decorative jars. If you have fruit-bearing trees or plants in your yard and you have enough to give away, you can place them in baskets tied with ribbons.
If you have old children’s books which are taken cared of properly, you can gift them to nephews, nieces, or kids who love to read.

1Crafts are a great quick holiday answer, but so are Gift Baskets. Maybe if they were combined, into one big great surprising gift!
