Are you planning to upgrade your company’s computer system? Before you do just that, you’d better consider some of these factors first:
Is your hardware ready for an upgrade? Make sure that your equipment meets the minimum hardware specifications of the newer operating system or the latest software version. If your equipment is updated, you can breathe easy. But if not, then you’ll have to consider upgrading your hardware first. Make sure you understand how much you’ll need to spend for this.
Are your employees ready for an upgrade? There are two things to consider about this. First is the employees attitude. Will they embrace the change, or will they resent it? Remember that even with an upgraded system is no match for unproductive employees. The second thing are the skills of your employees. They might welcome the change, but will they keep up with it? You might need to train your employees first for the new operating system or application. Consider the time, money, and other resources you’ll need to spend. Will they all be worth the effort in the long run?
Answer the questions above and if you answer positively, then you’re all set for using newer, and meaner machines.
