Plant Box

For beginner gardeners, here are some pointers on how to tell if you need to water your plants more:

The earliest stage of plant dehydrating is wilting. You can see this when you notice the leaves beginning to droop. Simply give water and you’ll observe how the leaves go back to their original form.

The next stage of plant dehydration is when the leaves begin to discolor. Once you see that the edges are beginning to brown, then it means that the plant is not getting enough water, even if it is being watered regularly.

Soil salt content also contributes to plant dehydration. Too much salt that accumulated in the soil can dry out the water and nutrients from it. If this happens, then the leaves might start turning yellow.

If you are already watering your plants and these signs still come up, you can seek professional advice for more information. Plants do have different requirement when it comes to caring and giving them the exact amount of moisture is one of them.
