We’re all very grateful that nowadays, sending messages is just a click away. But sometimes we make technology hinder us from working faster! Here are some instances of this and ways on how you can solve them.
Don’t you wish you can access your files all the time even when you’re not in your desk? Try enabling your remote desktop so that you can access and sync all your files while mobile. Better yet, just leave your stuff online. Google Docs and similar services can help you with that.
Clear your inbox daily. With the increasing storage of email accounts, it seems there’s no need to delete messages. But learn how to archive, star, and erase your emails so you won’t get drowned in them.
When you’re out shopping for PC peripherals, buy the wireless type. The wires can just be a mess under your desk. If you’re the neat-freak type who wants order in his workspace, wireless is surely the way to go.
Consider buying a netbook if you just need a basic mobile computer on the run. Sacrifice the optical drive instead of lugging around your heavy high-performance notebook.
Use your digital calendar. If you spend most of your time in front of your computer screen, marking important dates on your screen calendar is more effective than writing appointments in your planner.
